Social life. Good grades. Sleep. Money. Choose two.

Lately I’ve realized I’m facing a burden. Fact is I haven’t been getting my priorities straight. Let me make it a bit clearer for you:
Friday: Pre-pre-drink at my house, Pre-drink at Marcus’, downtown, Industry and Liquor Store, The Drink, Sydney’s, 4:30 sleep
Saturday: Wake up at Sydney’s, go home, sleep until 3:30, start getting ready, go back to Sydney’s (CEO’s n’ Office hoes party) get ready until 10, beer bong, beer bong, beer bong, what happened to my 6 Guinness? Oh wait…How did I get home again? 2:00 sleep
Sunday: Wake up at nine, still demolished, head back to sleep until 1:30, go help dad pick out shirts (don’t ask), write a sentence for my essay, 1:00 sleep
So it’s no surprise that it’s Monday morning and I’m sick as a dog. I must’ve thrown up at least 8 times this morning. Why you ask? Easy, because of my stupid excessive partying. I don’t know what’s come over me. You see, at the beginning of the school year I didn’t have much of a problem staying on the weekend and just doing some homework. Now I feel I’ve gotten into my old patterns. A bad habit that’s a hard one to break once you’re used to the constant thrill of going out every night. I want to know how to break that habit, and get back on track. Where I used to be so motivated, now, the last thing I want to do is homework. I need a game plan or something, or maybe a slap across the face. Anyway we’ll see how it goes, but a least writing about it seems like the first step to some sort of change…

Filming

I filmed one of the weirdest videos last week.
Did you ever think it was possible to dye a black guy’s mustache blond?
My friends Marcus and Ryan called me up last Thursday to do just that.
It starts off with Marcus not wanting to go buy hair dye at shoppers, so instead we decide to use bleach mixed with water. You know the stuff that makes your dirty brown clothes white again? Yeah. Anyway we test it out on Marcus’ arm first, which is full of thick black hair. Unfortunately for me I’m no scientist (only the show girl to put it on his face) and he got some totally weird allergic reaction to the bleach.  Then, Ryan’s mom came down with a mystery lotion that supposedly bleaches hair, and we put it on the mustache Marcus had been growing out. I started applying it and Marcus starts screaming. Should’ve looked at the fine print that said the stuff wasn’t supposed to go near your eyes, nose and mouth. Regardless of whiney Marcus, we kept it going for another fifteen minutes. It must’ve burned, because the chemicals smelt like total crap even from a foot away. Things turned out okay for Marcus who seemed to have a bit of a temporary high, and after wiping it off a non-blond mustache. Even though it wasn’t blond it did turn out looking a bit like Cheetos stuck to his face that glistened in the light. Oh, and I forgot to mention we put a bit of the bleach on the top of his short fluffy afro. Priceless.
My filming outfit...
Since we're such great friends we had a nice photoshoot while Marcus cried in the bathroom in pain.
Too bad we didn't get any pictures of the famous mustache itself.

Due To My Blog Being Uninteresting

In an attempt to attain at least 1000 blog-followers I’ve finally found my solution. Thanks to an anonymous guy, obviously. I’ve put up a few of my modeling pictures, as it certainly is the most interesting thing that I’ve done in the past few months. These pictures were shot by the amazing photographer Melissa Sauve. She’s done numerous photo shoots with many different people over the course of her career and I’m ecstatic that we got to do this together. The photos were all shot all either Petrie or Mooney’s bay. Luckily for us, it was wonderful weather and the shots turned out terrific. It’s a cool thing, having your makeup and hair all done up. I’m not really one to wear it around unless I’m going out.  Therefore, to have that occasional day when the eyeliner, mascara, and blush come out it really is super fun.  These pictures were all taken at the very end of the summer, and my next one will probably be sometime this winter. It’s not the most exciting thing to know that I most likely will be wearing a shot dress and frolicking in the snow. Melissa tells me the best looking shots are taken when something or someone is abnormal, and out of place. That’s about it! I’ll keep updating whenever my next shoot happens!

Just want to give a shoutout to food, it's been a tough day.

Ode to Food

We can get food just about anywhere
No matter the weather, or season
Food has always been around.

It rewards us with strength
It lightens our mood, opens our senses
It revitalizes us, giving us energy to embrace the day

Food consoles the lonely
Food comforts the broken-hearted
Food cradles the pregnant

Without food we would be nothing,
But with it, well
Life can sometimes feel a whole lot easier
